Hi everyone, lichess would definitely seal the deal as the best chess site on the internet if they create chat rooms. What do you guys think?
That would be nice, yeah.
This is a very, very discussed topic here.
You can just scroll down to read all that's been discussed:
lichess.org/forum/search?text=chat
Main reason against a global chat: difficult to moderate; lots of trolls.
Team chats: a possibility. Didn't sift through all those search results for the latter, but if my memory serves me right, there is a higher possibility for it.

I'm sure you could find a few volunteers to mod the chat.
Chat rooms are totally possible in live chat with the use of moderators and chat rooms in teams forums are usually moderated by team leaders on other sites. I won't mention what site due to respect for this great site. But I know this is full well possible as I spent 5 years running teams on another chess site. One of my teams has as many as 10,000 members and another has around 2500 members.
