Why Black wins less often ?

Why black wins less often? Black plays less often. Sometimes I see three whites in the same game, or 5 games in a row without any blacks.
White should be losing more often than black, because white always has one more move than black and since you can resign after making a move white should statistically be resigning more often than black.

QED
For first white always don't have the initiative. And you has black have to fight for initiative and space.
#12 but you can only checkmate by moving. So you must look at percentages of checkmates vs resigns in order to truly determine the effect of color.
An age old fear that some players develop, of playing black. Your game will never progress if you are not prepared to play black. It is impossible to play in tournaments without having your turn at it. You should divide your time evenly developing your black and your white game. I always put up random color seeks on the game board...because I am comfortable playing white or black...I think that makes for better chess. :]
Well said Zugzwang .I also put up random color to create a new game. We ourselves should not create a inequality between Black and White .If you got Black to play don't feel yourself as disadvantage to begin with that will only makes it easier for white to win .It is not good for chess to dislike having Black .
Black should be played with same confidence as White and must always try to win but what I found in elite tournaments People are content with a draw with black as if they are destined to lose against a well prepared white . Black must play with creativity and disruptive chess to destroy White's prepared designs .
