Why Black wins less often ?

Is that such a disadvantage moving second that statistically black wins less . Moving second can be advantage because you know how to respond . in the recent Candidates tournament there were so many white wins but nobody prepares for a Black win . If Black plays well it can draw but why it can't ensure a win like White's calculated play.
Yeah, same in tennis. How does the serving player so often make the point while the returning player has the advantage of knowing how to respond. Makes no sense.
Ok, now i am starting to wonder if this is actually a serious thread. If so, i am out ;)
White opens the game. Black responds. White has 20 possible openings. For ANY opening white makes, black has an effective response, resulting in equal chances of reaching a draw. Not winning, reaching a draw. Assuming that neither player makes a mistake from start to finish.

I hope this helps.
If you assume that neither player makes a mistake white probably does not have 20 possible opening moves. After 1.a4, 1.f3, 1.Nh3, 1.Na3 or 1.h4 his advantage may already be gone.
Yes you are right Scoreman if white moves away from center there is no pressure on black and then black can play as if it is white because the white's first move is not restricting black's choices . There is a huge difference between White's e4 and h4 . Moving the centre pawns to occupy the center makes all the difference now black has to think how not to let White control the strategic centre.
Also, many players playing black are fine to draw, not trying to win just because they're playing black
I like to play with black pieces and I could not discern any disadvantages. This question is best settle by computers playing against each other imho.
