Error loading engine

This happens every time I turn on analysis - started last week.
I noticed that Google Chrome updated itself right around that time - - ? ? ?

Can I uninstall StockFish and then add it back?
How ?

You can try clearing site settings for lichess.org. Let me know if that doesn't work, it could be Cloudflare has cached a 404 in your region.

Yes, I tried that. I still get the same error, but, only after several moves work OK.

Can I downgrade the engine release level? How?

I will try on Firefox.

Repeated on Firefox - works as expected.

On Chrome, I cleared the cache again, but, same error

I had this issue on Chrome Android.
I went to settings > History > Clear browsing data > Cached images and files.
It worked afterwards.

Looks like your original question completely flew over my head.

To downgrade, select Stockfish 14 NNUE from the "Engine" popup in the engine settings gear menu. You can find the gear button in the upper right of analysis windows (on desktop) or below the board (on mobile analysis - portrait layout).
