You wake up. Your head is spinning and you feel like your insides are actually your outsides. Your head feels like it is going to explode in an eruption of lava, yet it still feels cold. You want to scratch your nose, but you can't raise your arms. This is when you feel it. The rumble in your guts like a stampede of rhinos, bellowing to the skies in a wail that would deafen the worthiest of ears. Your legs are shaking as you stumble along. Every single step is agony, but you trudge on. Something has been moving your decrepit, sinewy frame this entire time. You try to think back to one you loved or a place you pine for, but you draw a blank. Instinct has taken over. You skulk past the shattered remains of what seems to be a bus shelter and the eyes that stare back at you are unfamiliar. Fear is no longer an emotion you possess. Love is no longer an emotion you possess. Empathy is no longer an emotion you possess. You slowly approach a black and white checkered patio floor and your instinct grabs you from your fleeting thoughts. You are seeing in faint fleeting hues of red with basic shape patterns. The truth of it all is overwhelming what is left of your mind.
