OTB in Serbia - Norm tournaments in Pozarevac

cool! Congratulations to you too, you made the trip to play chess and it must have been a very interesting tournament! some names are not unknown to me, there are some who play on Lichess!
I would be interested to know a little more about the history of chess in Serbia, I have doubts about when the game arrived there (13th century I think?), in any case, there is a large renewed interest in chess and it's great! well dear @Jeffforever the traveler, continue to show us the world after Norway, Portugal, and now Serbia! take a trip to England or Scotland, it might be interesting for the standards and to see the chess culture there!
@CSKA_Moscou Thanks, good question about the history of chess in Serbia, maybe someone from there knows better :) You may check my blog post about the event I played in Ireland sometime ago. Anyway can definitely recommend a trip to Serbia, with or without chess, friendly people everywhere.

it's because Rochade is in a quarterly issue, or because it's written and edited in advance?
The deadline for the January 2024 issue was on December 3rd so it was written a few days ago.

What is the average age of the participants? I am just asking if an FM close to 50 years old (but still regularly obtaining 2300 fide) would still fit in such tournament. On the pictures and in your article most players are much younger.

@mvhk The average would be around 30 I guess, most players in their twenties, the higher titled players are usually older. I believe an FM close to 50 years would still fit in such tournament, however needs to be very well prepared and give it all :-)
