Eliminate the "Good game well played" automessage

I don't understand the point of having "good game well played" as an option to be automatically sent after losing. It feels very fake and not genuine, as it's automatically sent whether it was truly a good game or not. Receiving this message will only trick people who don't know about this option. Since it serves no purpose, I recommend it to be deleted.
Bro ... If you don't wanna use it for yourself, don't use it?
It is not sent automatically. It is a choice of your opponent. He probably thought that you played well, who am I to blame him?
If it were only GG, it might have a more general applicability. I think WP should be reserved for manual use; making it automatic definitely devalues that particular compliment. And sticking it together with GG makes it redundant, anyway.

Alternatively, if we could have the option to write our own custom messages — like Gmail’s “vacation responder,” or the “signature” in some online forums — that might be even better. (Any offensive custom messages could simply be reported. I doubt there would be a higher instance of these than in regular chat, since people’s feelings aren’t generally heated when they’re first setting up their account. That comes later, after I graciously defeat them. 😉)
FYI: My personalized automessage would probably just be “Thanks for the game,” as this seems unlikely to offend anyone. (It is also what John Bartholomew says in his videos. 🙂) If I could set it up to automatically say that, win or lose, then I’d consider doing so. Since I usually play in Zen Mode, and my opponents usually move on as soon as the game’s over, I might never have the chance to say anything otherwise. 🤷

But I agree that “Good game, well played” could come across as insincere, in some cases. The more so when it’s automated. 😕 I suspect very few people currently use it, for that reason. Whereas if we had a few more options of things to say, I’m sure more people would avail of this feature.
I like the auto-message, please don't change them. It's a good way to make good manners easy.
@pawnedge I had this idea as well. I don't think I would personally use it, but I would enjoy reading what others wrote.
it's annoying and sometimes insulting when you get "good game" after losing handily, or after playing poorly. like being trolled.
