If she has children then she's not exactly a "girl" she's more like a woman but, then again it depends on your age perspective.
Well, by the dictionary definition you are right. But I use "girl", because I can perceive a woman, even if she is not young, as a girl. It depends on kind of interaction, may be. But this kind of perception is not offensive. And, of course, I suppose, that if she will read it, she will write in private messages, not in this line, so confidentiality will be saved, and nobody ever will know, who is she -- only I.
But also, I don't take it seriously. I understand, that a chance that she will find this post, is very little. Also, I don't know, was it real woman, or somebody just made a joke.
I still think it would depend on your age to say if she's a girl or woman because I'm 11. I think I'd know the difference between a girl and a woman but, you might be an adult so you'd call her a girl. See the difference. But anyway don't get super high hopes since it could just be a joke...

I think it's posiible to use this word in personal communication. When you talk about somebody, then yes, it's better to use "woman". But I wrote this message for only one person, so I meant it in a good way.
