Why do GMs only play blitz online?

Why do strong players tend to play fast chess online? I much prefer slower games online since then I can think about my moves and so I learn more. I thought blitz trained bad habits like going for hacky attacks that wouldn't usually in slow chess.
They probably have a busy timetable. Coachings, training, OTB-tournaments, family etc.

Blitz + Bullet is a fast way to relax.
They have very good theoretical knowledge. They can apply it and move much faster than the players who have to spend lots of time carefully thinking through every move. Therefore, in blitz and bullet they get much better results than in the slow chess.
When your job is all about slow chess games, naturally they'll want to take a break from it when they're playing chess to relax.
Because it's more fun, but also perhaps it makes for good tactics training... waste of time playing long games against crap opponents, or perhaps computers.
I would add also to my comment: reputation. A strong players' reputation is at stake online where there is no control for cheating etc. No one takes blitz seriously, so there is nothing to lose playing it.
Yes, that is understandable for a Master, but why so many novice player copy this Bullet and Blitz mania?
I don't think so that the fast-paced games rules out cheaters (computer programs are faster than the fastest players) and I neither believe in the other commonly given excuse that the players have no time for longer games (Blitz players tend to play in arenas for hours).
