I don't know 99% of the references, well i did not know, but now i have some more culture, by the way of humor, caricature still something right..
It is like I go to know about "Notre-Dame de Paris" by Victor Hugo, but first be reading a Gotlib version in "bande-dessinée" format (+ some other imaginative author of the time), in my youth.. (BD=cartoon novel, not comics, although it can be outrageously comical, and was in this case).. Quasi-modo. But in this blogs series, it is about the chess world.. Some blogs are really insightful, and keep my attention going (i read your blog from end to top).

Well I think the only one man made a lot of efforts for the code base to be maintenance proof, for future extensibility.
It was my impression, and the efforts to be present here in the forum and blog, does confort that impression of intent to explain that level, to those who can hear fully, or like me partially.
At least in my non-dev but question driven visit through some part of that code base on github (with that question as bone to chew), I could find my way due to how the relevant parts were assembled and represented somehow in the nomenclature.
I may have even seen a diagram. about not the live lichess implementation, but the code base, it might have been at some stage.. but i think it was helping others getting a sense of how the whole code base is an ensemble and might have kept a modularity with evolution. That was 3 years ago my touristic adventure there.... I have not looked at since about the whole view.
