always start with D4/D5 its a very decent opening, so you can only go up from here, after many losses of course. Just try and learn what u can from ur mistakes.

Somehow almost all players start e2-e4 on me. I've got too much of it. It became quite boring after awhile. Now, I try to start with something else.
Good thing to do is to master the Alekhine Defence. Most e2-e4 players do not know it. I have recently seen a 600 rated player beating a 1000 rated one using Nf6 reply to e2-e4 opening.

if all players start with the same opening against you, then it should be to your advantage, as it would only add to your experience.
however i mentioned D4/D5 to op because its a decent opening that can be used against all opening, so he cant go wrong there.
